Two free tools landed this week. One is a sound library. One is a drum machine that builds its own patterns.
## UVI Prisma Bedroom Producers Blog reports Loot Audio is giving away Prisma, normally $149, "while codes last." There's no fixed end date, and it's one claim per customer. You need a verified Loot Audio account and a free iLok account. No dongle. It runs in the free UVI Workstation or Falcon.
What you get: two layers per patch, 250 instruments from more than 100 UVI products, 1,151 presets, five macros, MPE and a dual arpeggiator. AU, VST, VST3 and AAX, macOS 10.14 through 26 and 64-bit Windows 10/11. The catch is size. The soundbank is 14.45 GB.
## Ravik BPB covers Våld Labs' Ravik, an eight-channel drum synth released Oct. 8 as a free public beta. 47 synthesis engines, nine generative sequencing algorithms including Euclidean rhythms, probability, swing and ratchets, plus individual outs per channel. Mac AU and VST3, Windows VST3, and an iOS beta. The reviewer expects the final version to be paid, so free is a beta window.
## How to use them We haven't tested either one. Don't take our word on the sound. Build one loop with Prisma pads under a Ravik pattern and see if it survives a mono check. Free means the only cost is your time and disk space.
