Two Chicago Rappers Gone in Ten Days.

4Block Lil Mari was shot and killed on a Chicago bike path. Reports tie his death to a video mocking BloodHound Q50, who was killed September 13. Police haven't confirmed any link, and no one has been arrested in either case.

Chicago lost another young rapper this week, ten days after the last one.

## What happened 4Block Lil Mari, known for "Warzone" and "OK," was shot and killed on a Chicago bike path. No Jumper confirmed his death Tuesday night, September 22, and VICE and HotNewHipHop reported it the next day. His On The Radar freestyle is close to 2 million views.

## The Q50 connection, and what isn't confirmed BloodHound Q50, born Mikquale Cooper, was 22 when he was shot and killed in his Tesla at a BP station in Fuller Park on September 13, per Hoodline. Days later, video circulated that allegedly showed Lil Mari at that gas station mocking Q50's death. No Jumper reposted it. Then Lil Mari was killed.

What's confirmed ends there. Police have not connected the two killings, and nobody has been arrested in either one. Everything linking them comes from the timeline and social media, not from investigators.

## What these videos do Drill culture didn't invent disrespecting the dead, but the internet turned it into content that pays. A clip filmed at a death scene gets reposted by pages with millions of followers, the views pile up, and the consequences land on 20-year-olds in real neighborhoods. The platforms and repost pages collect the engagement. The families bury their kids.

We're not naming a motive police haven't named. Two young men with real audiences are dead within ten days, and the attention machine that amplified the gap between them is still running.
