How it started
In a BHighTV interview that went up Monday, Sept. 21, the former Hot Boys member said Boosie took his spot on the Cash Money/No Limit Tour, took his style, and took the "Turk fade." Then he called Boosie a feature artist. "Boosie can't sell out no arena[s] by himself," Turk said, and added that the tour is helping Boosie.
How Boosie answered
On Tuesday, Boosie posted himself laughing at it. In a second video he said Turk isn't on the tour because he fumbled it, and nobody else is to blame. Then the line that's gonna live on: "You don't have a catalog, you got a spreadsheet." Turk came back with clips showing Boosie as a Hot Boys fan and his platinum plaques.
What's actually being argued
Strip the jokes and it's a real question. Turk was part of a group run that moved serious units under Cash Money — plaques that belong to a label deal he didn't control. Boosie built a Baton Rouge independent pipeline that kept records flowing for two decades, a lot of it on his own terms. One has history. The other has volume.
A Verzuz is where that gets tested, song for song, in front of a crowd that knows both catalogs. Nobody's booked it. Nobody's even agreed to it. But the internet already picked teams.
The part nobody's saying
Both of these men came out of Louisiana deals that paid the labels first. The argument about who's bigger is fun. The better conversation is who owns what they made.
