Space Jam 9 Sold Out. Resale Says Relax.

The Air Jordan 9 OG 'Space Jam' went on Saturday, September 19 and was gone off SNKRS fast. A day later the kids' pairs sit at $170 lowest ask on StockX, retail is still trickling, and only the big sizes are getting taxed.

## The drop The Air Jordan 9 OG "Space Jam" (HV4794-106) released Saturday, September 19 at $215 for adults, thirty years after the movie (Sneaker Bar Detroit). White leather, black nubuck mudguard and collar, True Red on the Jumpman, tongue, heel "23" and the globe. SNKRS went quick. Men's Journal had it right in the headline: sold out fast, but retail isn't finished, with the store list still active (Sneaker News).

## The resale read Sunday on StockX: the grade-school pair's lowest ask is $170; toddlers at $93. Adult sizes are the ones carrying any premium, and even there Men's Journal's note was that only "larger feet are already getting taxed." For a shoe this recognizable, that's a soft board. The 9 isn't the 1 or the 4; a Space Jam 11 sells itself, a Space Jam 9 sells to people who remember 1996.

## What it says about Jordan Brand's year This is a month with thirteen Jordan releases across seven silhouettes. When supply is that steady, "sold out on SNKRS" means the app moved its allotment, not that the shoe is gone. Foot Locker and the boutiques keep pushing pairs for days. Buying at retail on Monday is a real option; paying over retail on Sunday is not.

## The calendar this week The women's Air Jordan 5 "Sunset" returns Friday the 25th. The Air Jordan 1 Low OG "Last Dance at the Garden" and the Air Jordan 40-14 both land Saturday the 26th. The 9 had its weekend. It'll still be on shelves when the next thing drops.
