Edgerunners 2: 35 Days, and The Cure.

Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 hits Netflix October 20 with ten episodes, a new crew, and an opening set to The Cure's '10:15 Saturday Night,' a detail Trigger confirmed at Anime Expo that most people missed. Countdown and what's confirmed.

Thirty-five days. Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 premieres on Netflix on October 20, and one detail from the summer never got the attention it deserved: the opening is The Cure.

## The song At Studio Trigger's Anime Expo panel on July 3, the team confirmed the new opening theme is "10:15 Saturday Night," The Cure's 1979 single, a nervous post-punk record about a dripping tap and a phone that doesn't ring. Season 1 opened on Franz Ferdinand's "This Fire" and closed on Rosa Walton's "I Really Want to Stay at Your House," which became the show's whole identity on TikTok. Robert Smith over Night City is the same trick, older and darker. The trailer song is different: "You Can't Run From Me," written for the show by Rico Nasty, out on streaming since June 30.

## What's confirmed Ten episodes. A standalone story with a new crew, not a continuation of David and Lucy. Kai Ikarashi directs, with character designs by Ichigo Kanno and the script by CD Projekt's Bartosz Sztybor and Trigger's Masahiko Otsuka. The English cast includes Clancy Brown. Trigger's team pitched it internally as Pulp Fiction meets Léon, and the Overwatch crossover with David and Talia is set for 2027.

## The countdown Netflix, October 20. If you haven't rewatched season 1, ten episodes is a weekend. If you've never seen it, it's the best thing to come out of Cyberpunk 2077, and the game is better for it.
