Early mock-ups called it Eggnog and got the blocking wrong. The real shoe, shown at Jordan's NYFW preview, runs Flu Game lines in brown and orewood, full family sizing, $215.

For most of the summer this shoe existed as a rumor called "Eggnog," and the mock-ups looked like a holiday sweater. The real thing is better. Sneaker News got it in hand at a private NYC showing and published the first look Wednesday, September 9. Sole Retriever confirmed the date and price Thursday.

The specs

Air Jordan 12 "Fireside," style code CT8013-105. Official colorway is Light Orewood Brown/Cacao Wow-Team Red. October 24, 2026, full family sizing, $215 for adults. Nike, SNKRS, and the usual Jordan retailers. One aggregator had October 17; two independent trade sources say the 24th, so go with the 24th.

The blocking is the Flu Game and Playoff formula, cream leather up top, dark brown mudguard and outsole, with Team Red on the eyelets and the tongue's Jumpman. It's a Playoff 12 that spent the winter in a cabin.

The Cafecito problem

Sneaker News says it out loud, so we will too: this is going to get compared to the SoleFly "Cafecito" 12 from 2024, and the comparison is fair. Same coffee-and-cream idea, same silhouette, two years apart. The difference is the Cafecito was a Miami boutique release at boutique numbers, and the Fireside is a general release in kids' sizes. That's the trade Jordan Brand makes constantly: take a collab's idea, sand off the story, and ship it to everybody.

For the people who missed the Cafecito, that's a gift. For the people who paid resale for it, it's the annual reminder that boutique exclusivity has a shelf life.

The Fireside line

This isn't a one-off. There's an Air Jordan 3 "Fireside" in the same family for women, which means Jordan is building a seasonal palette across silhouettes the way it did with "Craft" and "Sail." The 12 is the anchor because the 12 is the shoe that looks most like a boot, and Jordan wants this on feet in November, not on shelves.

October 24 is a Saturday, a week after the Halloween 5 and a week before the Forest Green 14. Jordan is running holiday drops at a weekly cadence this year. Budget accordingly.
