A 300-Inch Screen. The Same 30 Minutes.

Inside the PlayStation booth at TGS, Sony is running a Grand Theft Auto VI theater: the Extended Look on a 300-inch display, floor haptics, and a free co-branded shirt if you sit through it. There is no Rockstar booth, and no new footage.

Sixty-five days out, and Sony is still doing Rockstar's marketing for it. Inside the PlayStation booth at Tokyo Game Show, September 17 through 21, there's a dedicated Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look theater: the 30-minute reveal on a 300-inch screen, Sony's floor haptics shaking under your seat, and a free GTA 6 x PlayStation shirt for anybody who stays to the end.

## What's on the screen The same footage you've seen. The Extended Look premiered August 27 on Netflix and did 31 million views; that's what loops in the theater. GTA BOOM, which first reported the setup on September 11, is clear on it: no new reveal, no new trailer, no Rockstar or Take-Two booth anywhere on the floor. The theater sits next to playable demos of Wolverine, FF7 Revelation, Monster Hunter Wilds: Ascendance and Ace Combat 8. It's PlayStation's show, and GTA 6 is the poster.

## Why Sony keeps doing this Look at the run: Tokyo billboards, two custom DualSense controllers (already scalped at $140), GTA 6 folded into the "It Happens on PS5" campaign, and now a theater at Sony's biggest home-market show. A multiplatform game is being marketed like a first-party exclusive. Sony's read is simple. If you don't own a current console, GTA 6 is the reason you buy one this fall, and Sony wants that box to be a PS5.

## Don't confuse the calendar Take-Two's annual shareholder meeting is Wednesday, September 17, the same day the show opens. Those meetings are votes and board seats, not trailers. If GTA 6 news breaks this week it'll be from Rockstar's own channels, not a proxy statement and not a 300-inch replay in Chiba.

## The number that matters November 19. Preload the 12th. A theater in Tokyo doesn't move that, but it tells you how the last two months will look: every partner with a stake finding a bigger screen.
