Suri: The Seventh Note launches on PS5 on October 30, 2026, and pre-orders are open, per the PlayStation Blog. The post doesn't list a base price, so check the PlayStation Store listing. Both editions carry a 20% pre-order discount for PlayStation Plus members.
What it is
It's the debut game from Tathvamasi Studios, built over four years, with Glen Martin listed as game director. You play Ajira on a journey across the island of Suri. It's an exploration adventure, with room to chase perfect runs, find hidden paths and master movement abilities.
The world is pulled from Indian art and architecture: Rajput forts, Theyyam culture, Himalayan monasteries. That's a specific palette, not a generic fantasy skin.
The rhythm part
This is where it gets interesting. The studio says about 80% of the music was recorded with analogue instruments, and the rhythm mechanics run on a 480-millisecond gap between main beats. The team also built what they call a Rhythm Haptics Engine, so the DualSense is part of the timing. Movement and music are tied together. If you've ever felt a drum pattern in your chest before you heard it, that's the idea.
Editions
The Standard Edition is the base game plus the pre-order discount. The Digital Deluxe Edition adds the Chandini Skin, DLC and three days of early access. Per the blog, the skin and DLC can't be bought separately, and anyone who buys the Deluxe Edition after launch still gets both.
The read
Suri is part of the PlayStation India Hero Project, which backs developers from India. That matters beyond one release. Most of the games on a PS5 shelf are built from American, Japanese or European visual language, and a studio putting Rajput architecture and Theyyam in the foreground widens the map. Producers know this move: when the sound and the setting come from somewhere specific, it sticks. Whether the platforming holds up is a review question we can't answer yet. The pitch, though, is clear. For more October PS5 timing, see our PS Plus catalog rundown.
