## What happened - Mon, Sept. 28: Quavo posted a QRÖMELIFE "short film" on Instagram. He falls asleep in an empty house full of moving boxes and watches his career replay: early Migos, losing Takeoff, making the album with Pharrell. He wakes up holding his daughter. The last line is "you do it for the fam," per iHeartRadio (@iHeartRadio). - Tue, Sept. 29: Complex published his Idea Generation sit-down with Noah Callahan-Bever. Around the 38-minute mark, Quavo says fatherhood gave him "a new hunger, a new fire." - The drop: QRÖMELIFE, 14 tracks, executive produced by Pharrell, lands Friday, Oct. 2.

## What's confirmed and what isn't Confirmed by Quavo: he's a first-time father and the child is a daughter. He talks about her smiling, calling him dad, and his family loving her "just like me."
Not confirmed: her name, her age, and when she was born. iHeart reports that some fans think Quavo and his girlfriend Erica Fontaine had the baby in late 2024. That theory goes back to a since-deleted jet video where an infant can be heard crying. iHeart also says Fontaine posted a photo with the baby to her IG Story after the teaser went up. Neither Quavo nor Fontaine has given a birth date, so for now the late-2024 timing is fan speculation.
## Why it matters for Friday Look at this week's rollout. First the tracklist. Then Offset in the room for "Away." Now the daughter. The film goes straight from Takeoff's death to a newborn in Quavo's arms, and that's on purpose. Since November 2022 he's put his grief in public through the Takeoff tributes, the solo run and the Migos-reunion talk. This is the first time the rollout has something to point to besides loss.
