Lil Durk's murder-for-hire verdict is in, but the people around him are still fighting about it in public.
## What was said HotNewHipHop had the exchange Sept. 25, via clips first posted by @akademikstv. OTF Jam, who became a prosecution witness in the case, went after Memo600 in an Instagram Story. He said he'd still slap him, accused Memo of jumping out of "2 story windows" and leaving a homie behind, and said Memo only talks about him "when i can't reach you."
Memo answered in a run of his own Stories. The core of it: "YOU JUST SNITCHED ON FONEM AND GOT YOURSELF LIFE IN JAIL INSTEAD OF TAKING 3 YEARS." He also posted what he said were old DMs from Jam praising him, and an AI image of Jam wrapped in toilet paper in a cell. Memo said the blogs should stop "giving this [rat] air time."
## Where the case stands Durk was acquitted on all five counts in the murder-for-hire case, including the two that carried mandatory life. He's still in federal custody on separate racketeering and firearms charges. We laid that out in his first statement after the verdict. Jam and OTF Vonni both cooperated. HotNewHipHop reports Jam has admitted involvement in multiple killings and could face life, but he hasn't been sentenced. He started out facing three to four years on a federal gun case.
## Read it right This is two men with very different amounts at stake. Jam's future depends on what a judge does with his cooperation. Memo is protecting a reputation in a scene where the worst thing you can be called is a snitch, and where this case has already cost lives and freedom. Both sides are feeding the same content machine, and neither one looks good in it. The people who lost the most over the last two years are the families in Chicago, and none of them are posting Stories about it.
