What's in the box
A six-inch Macca the Gator figure (he's a TV star in Leonida), Oakley Frogskins with Prizm Sapphire lenses, a magnetic mirror, a Vice City swizzle spoon, a keychain that's basically a razor blade, a Chunkee the Manatee shot glass, a Vice City snapback, a Leonida Keys crossbody bag, an enamel pin set, stickers with a stash bag, and a double-sided map poster.
If you're reading that list and thinking it's a party kit, you're reading it right. That's the joke. Rockstar has always sold Vice City as a place with a very specific kind of night out.
The money read
Merch-only collector's boxes aren't new. What's new is the size of the audience. GTA 6 launches November 19 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, and Take-Two has already said the game ships without GTA Online or microtransactions at launch. No recurring spending on day one means physical merch is one of the few extra lines on the receipt. $400 is where they start.
Real talk: the Oakleys alone carry real retail value, so this isn't pure air. But $400 plus the game plus a console is a paycheck. Rockstar knows exactly who's buying this, and it's not the kid saving up.
