"I Wanna Issue an Apology to You." A Safe Place Returns After Two Years.

The podcast that blew up over a Key Glock episode in 2024 is back with Mitch in the chair, Yachty owning the way he talked to his friend, and Karrahbooo at the table too.

The clip that killed A Safe Place was Yachty asking Mitch, on camera, in front of Key Glock, what he'd be doing without him. That was August 2024. This week the show came back, and the first order of business was that clip.

The new episode, "The Concrete Civil War," puts Mitch back next to Lil Yachty for the first time since the fallout. HotNewHipHop and Complex both ran it Thursday, September 11. "I wanna issue an apology to you," Yachty told him, admitting his tone and word choice came off embarrassing and disrespectful, and that it wasn't how you treat a brother. Mitch accepted, and said the apology in person meant more than the internet debate ever did. His real gripe was that a friends' disagreement turned into public content instead of a phone call.

How it fell apart

After the Key Glock episode spread, Yachty went on Instagram Live and got on Mitch for not defending him. Mitch later hinted the show was done. A Safe Place did put out episodes with Lil Baby (December 2024) and Gervonta Davis (February 2025), but Mitch wasn't in them. Two years of a podcast with a missing co-host is a long silence.

Karrahbooo at the table

The other unresolved Concrete Boys relationship was in the room too. Karrahbooo, who split from the crew in 2024 in an equally public mess, joined the episode after patching things up with Yachty. Their conversation got heated again over songwriting credits, specifically how much Yachty wrote for her. They'd already reconciled enough to record: her new project NOT DA 2 has Yachty on a song titled, fittingly, "Patched It Up," and she's said taking their fallout online was one of her biggest mistakes.

Why it matters

Concrete Boys was Yachty's bet on a label that was actually a crew. Both breakups were about the same thing: who's the boss, who's the friend, and what happens when the friend is on payroll. The apology doesn't settle the business question. It does put the show, and the crew, back in a room where it can be answered.
