Ben10 Got Shot There. Now the Feds Arrested Him For It.

Six people, including the paralyzed Baton Rouge rapper and YoungBoy's brother, were picked up Thursday in Louisiana and Texas over the April chain-snatch at Confessions in Houston. Charges are still sealed.

The man who left Confessions in a wheelchair is now in federal custody for what happened inside it. On Thursday, September 10, the FBI and partner agencies arrested six people across Louisiana and Texas in connection with the April 8 shooting at the Upper Kirby restaurant in Houston, and two of them are Baton Rouge rappers: NBA Ben10 and OG 3Three, YoungBoy Never Broke Again's brother. TMZ (@TMZ) broke it Thursday night; XXL, Complex and Baton Rouge's WAFB confirmed it Friday morning through FBI Houston spokesperson Connor Hagen. The charges have not been released. Hold that detail; it is the whole story.

## What the feds are saying, and what they aren't Hagen confirmed the six arrests and tied them to Confessions. That is the entire on-record statement. No complaint has been unsealed, no count has been named, and both XXL and Complex have requests in with the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Southern District of Texas. Until paper drops, anything past "arrested in connection with the April shooting" is a guess. What the arrests do tell you is that the government's read of that night is not the one the internet settled on in April.

## The night at Confessions Around 11:30 p.m. on April 8, a group approached Detroit rapper AllStar JR inside Confessions and, per Houston police, tried to take his jewelry. Surveillance footage showed a struggle, a gun hitting the floor, and JR picking it up and firing. Three people were hit. Ben10, born Ben Anthony Fields, took a round to the spine; Harris County prosecutors later wrote that his medical team found "irreversible paralysis of the lower extremities." Authorities also alleged JR tried to put one in Ben's head and ran out of ammunition. JR, real name Jeremy Christopher Ford, was arrested in Michigan later that month and is sitting on a Harris County aggravated assault count with a brain-or-spine-injury enhancement plus a federal felon-in-possession charge. Ben10 was shot again in Baton Rouge in May, weeks after Houston.

## Ben10 already told you his version In August, from the chair, Ben10 posted a video defending the man who shot him. His line, via XXL: "he ain't do sh*t wrong but take care of business." JR's lawyers folded that clip into a motion arguing he should not be held pending trial. Read it again now that the FBI has six people in cuffs and Ben is one of them. A robbery victim who fires back is a self-defense case. The people the feds arrest in a robbery case are usually not the victims. Nobody has said the word "robbery" in a charging document yet, so keep it labeled as what it is: the obvious inference, not a fact.

## The YoungBoy angle OG 3Three is not a random name on the list. He is YB's brother, part of the Never Broke Again orbit that has spent 2026 in the news for everything from the MASA tour money to YoungBoy's heart diagnosis. YB himself is not mentioned in any report and has no stated connection to Confessions. But a federal case that touches his blood, his label's name and a Baton Rouge crew is going to get read through him whether he is in it or not, the same way Lil Durk's trial turned OTF into an exhibit. That Durk jury is still out in Los Angeles as of Friday. Two Southern rap camps, two federal rooms, one week.

## Why this one sticks Every rap-and-the-feds story of the last five years has the same shape: the camera that was supposed to be for content becomes the government's best witness. Confessions had surveillance. JR's own social videos are in the federal complaint against him. Ben10's August clip is in a defense motion. The industry keeps handing the prosecution its exhibits for free, and the people paying for it are the ones without the platform to monetize the aftermath. Watch for the unsealed complaint; that is when this stops being a headline and becomes a case.
