Twenty Years Gone. Sunset, Sept. 25.

The 2006 women's exclusive returns September 25 at $205 in women's sizing, white leather with the orange-to-Fire Red gradient on the shark teeth. Official photos landed this weekend and Sneaker News posted the release listing Monday morning.

2006 was the year Jordan Brand let the women's line have fun. The "Sunset" 5 was the best of that stretch, and it's been gone since.

## The listing Sneaker News posted the release listing Monday, September 14: Air Jordan 5 "Sunset," IV5678-102, White/Sunset/Fire Red/Black, September 25, $205, women's sizing, Nike SNKRS US at 10am ET and BSTN in Europe. Sneaker Bar Detroit ran the official photos Saturday, September 12, and frames it as a 20th-anniversary return.

## The build White leather upper, translucent netting on the side panels and under the laces, reflective silver tongue. The shark-tooth midsole runs orange up top and fades to Fire Red at the bottom and outsole; that gradient is the whole reason it got the name. Red Jumpman on the tongue and lining, red embroidered heel Jumpman, darker trim at the eyelets. Per SBD, the 2026 pair keeps the 2006 arrangement almost exactly, with the usual modern-retro shifts in proportion and material.

## Why it disappeared The "Sunset" came out in the window when Jordan Brand was experimenting past the Bulls palette, mostly in the women's lineup, and it never got the retro treatment the men's 5s got. It became one of those pairs you'd see once a year on someone who'd held them since college. Twenty years without a rerun is longer than most of the OG 5 colorways went.

## Women's only, and that's the point No men's sizing, per Sneaker News and Complex. Jordan Brand has spent 2026 putting its best-executed retros in the women's line: the 6 Low "Metamorphosis" this Tuesday, the 4 "Spotlight" in January, now this. Men who want it are going up a size and a half on SNKRS or paying resale, which is exactly how the 2006 pair moved.

## The calendar September 25 is also the J Balvin 4 "Lemonade." The 26th is the AJ1 Low OG "Last Dance at the Garden." The 19th is the 9 "Space Jam." Jordan Brand is clearing the whole month's retro slate before October's "Royal" 1s. If the Sunset is on your list, it's the quietest release of the four and probably the easiest to hit.
