Offset Opened a Hotline. Then He Dropped the Single.

'NEED FM' went live Sept. 15 with a real phone number and Set on the other end. 'Something I Need,' produced by Southside, Smatt Sertified and Jester Beats, followed Friday, Sept. 18 through Motown, his first solo record since 'Kiari.'

The rollout was a phone number. 470-742-6949. Call a player and tell him what you need.

## NEED FM Offset put the hotline up on Tuesday, September 15, per XXL: a late-night line called NEED FM where fans call in with whatever's on their mind. His pitch on Instagram: "Some of y'all need closure, some of y'all need some answers and some of y'all just need somebody to tell y'all what really going on. You got some sh*t on your mind, call me." The trailer plays like a 1990s quiet-storm radio spot with Set as the host. It's a bit, but it's a good bit, and it did what a bit is supposed to do: three days of people posting their call logs.

## The record "Something I Need" came out Friday, September 18 through Motown. Production is Southside, Smatt Sertified, and Jester Beats, per HipHop-N-More. RGM heard it as vulnerability with the swagger left on, which tracks: the beat is atmospheric, the hook is a want, and Set raps over it the way he always has, clipped and on the grid. The video was shot in Miami and directed by MikeyRare and SheShe Pendleton.

It's his first solo song since Kiari, which came out September 2025. A year of silence, then a single. That's a campaign, not a loosie.

## Where Migos fits This is the part the culture actually cares about. Quavo told V-103's DJ Greg Street last month that the group is coming back for a tour and an album with posthumous Takeoff vocals: "We're going to do it one more time. For the people. Long live the Rocket." Quavo has his own solo album in the pipe, so the order looks like Set's project, then Quavo's, then the group. Set and Quavo posted studio photos on the Migos account in May, so it's not just talk.

## The take Offset has spent two years being a headline for reasons that weren't songs: the divorce, the shooting, the Rylo back-and-forth. A single with a Southside beat and a gimmick that people actually enjoyed is him steering the conversation back to the music. The hotline is marketing. The Migos record is the reason to pick up.
