TL;DR
Two ways to play Night City this month that aren't 2077. The official Cyberpunk Trading Card Game, built by WeirdCo with CD PROJEKT RED, runs a beta week at local game stores from September 10 through 17 — full release November 6. And Cyberpunk: Edgerunners — Hunted, a real-time co-op board game from No Loading Games, is shipping to preorders around September 30 at $40.
The card game
The Kickstarter closed at over $28 million from 50,000-plus backers — the most-funded TCG in the platform's history. The beta works like a launch party: find a participating store on the official locator, buy a Beta Event Kit (it includes everything for a deck, so you don't need any cards going in), and play. Johnny Silverhand is on the cards. The "All Is Lost" reveal last month was a card, not a game, in case that headline got you.
The board game
Hunted is one to four players running missions as David, Lucy, Rebecca and Maine in 25-minute real-time sessions on a modular map, dodging Maelstrom, NCPD and Adam Smasher. Real-time means the clock doesn't stop while you argue. It lands the same month as the Edgerunners 2 date drop, which isn't a coincidence.
Why Cyberpunk stays on the show
The show covers Cyberpunk every episode because it's the best single-player RPG world of the last decade and CD Projekt keeps building in it. The game's story is closed — no more DLC — and the sequel is years out (a Polish brokerage guessed 2030; treat that as analyst talk, not news). So the franchise is living in tabletop and anime while Orion cooks. That's the fresh angle.
