Two Baton Rouge–New Orleans legends walked the Tigers into Death Valley on Saturday alongside the new head coach and Tyrann Mathieu. Second straight week Kiffin has put a celebrity at the front of the walk.

Saturday in Baton Rouge: Lil Wayne on one side of Lane Kiffin, Boosie on the other, Tyrann Mathieu a step behind, and the whole LSU roster walking down Victory Hill behind them.

## The walk Per On3 and Yahoo Sports, the Tiger Walk before No. 8 LSU's 6:30 kickoff against Louisiana Tech on September 12 was led by Wayne, Boosie, Kiffin and Mathieu. Boosie was in state for a New Orleans show that night. Wayne, Louisiana's most famous export not named Manning, has been showing up for LSU since the Les Miles years.

## Kiffin's thing This is the second week in a row the new coach has put a celebrity at the front of the walk; Clemson week had one too. Kiffin has always understood that a college program is a brand, and in Louisiana the brand is rap as much as football. Two Hot Boys-era legends walking the team in says the new staff gets the state.

## Why it's on the show Because it's the kind of picture that only happens in the South: a Cash Money legend and the Baton Rouge street poet, both past 40, both still the face of their cities, escorting nineteen-year-olds into a stadium.
