James Whitner has spent a decade turning a handful of Black-owned boutiques into the most consistent collab machine in the Jordan ecosystem. A Ma Maniére got the 3, the 1, the 4 and the 5. Social Status got the 6 Low. JAIDE, the women's line, has an 11 Low landing the same week. Now it's APB's turn. The shoe
Style code IU8266-400. Binary Blue/Rust Pink-Sail-Steel. The biggest change is material: the ballistic mesh that defines every 11 Low is gone, replaced with premium leather, which turns the shoe from a summer sneaker into something you'd wear with a jacket. Salmon-pink piping traces the panels and the patent mudguard. $200 per Sneaker News; Sneaker Files lists $205. APB's site and Nike SNKRS, 10 a.m. ET.
A second pair, Sail with Rust Pink and Binary Blue flipped, is coming later with its own style code. Sneaker Files has both together.
Why the 11 Low matters here
Jordan almost never gives the 11 to collaborators. The silhouette is the brand's December cash register and it protects it. A handful of 11 Low collabs exist and most of them are recent; giving one to APB, the smallest name in the Whitaker portfolio, says the group has earned the kind of trust Jordan doesn't extend to new partners. Sneaker News frames APB as "a herald of what's to come," with a Whitaker Group 4 already on the books for 2027.
That's the ownership story. Whitner built the Whitaker Group as a Black-owned retail company in a business where Black shops usually get allocation, not authorship. Four stores with their own Jordan collabs in one calendar year is a level of access that used to belong to Kith and Union alone.
How to get it
APB will run its own release, and SNKRS gets a general allocation the same morning. The JAIDE 11 Low "Fiberglass" is a raffle release the same weekend through JAIDE, A Ma Maniére, Social Status and APB, so if you're in Charlotte, Atlanta or Pittsburgh, the store lines are going to be one long weekend. Blue, leather, a 11 Low with a story: this is the one from the September calendar that ages.
