Kodak's docket: clean.

Orlando prosecutors filed a no-information notice on the MDMA trafficking count Friday, September 11, three days after a Broward judge tossed his fleeing case. Bradford Cohen: neither should have been charged.

Two Florida cases, one week, zero charges standing. Yak's docket is clean for the first time in a long time.

## What dropped @TMZ had the filing first on Friday, September 11: the Orange County State Attorney's Office filed a no-information notice on Kodak Black's first-degree MDMA trafficking count, the one from his May 6 surrender in Orlando. XXL and Complex confirmed the language: the state found the evidence "insufficient to prove possession of contraband." No charges filed, bond released, records cleared. It went wide again Monday when XXL and HotNewHipHop stacked it as the second win in a week.

The underlying case was a November 2025 call for shots fired at his location. Police said a pink bag in a Lamborghini SUV held 25.34 grams of MDMA, $37,000 cash and paperwork with his name on it. Kodak said the bag wasn't his but the money was his business's. He wasn't arrested that night; FDLE lab results months later put the weight over Florida's 10-gram trafficking line, a warrant followed, and he turned himself in in May and bonded out. Bradford Cohen and co-counsel David Bigney argued the whole count rode on a vehicle search where the one passenger in the car wasn't Kodak. Prosecutors read the case law and folded.

## The first win, three days earlier Tuesday, September 8, a Broward judge tossed the fleeing-and-eluding case from the February Pompano Beach stop, per XXL and TMZ. Cohen's motion was blunt: the deputy never asked for a license or insurance, never got out of the patrol car, never gave a lawful order. "What's going on boss? You good?" is not a traffic stop. Dismissed with prejudice.

Cohen on Instagram after the second one, per XXL: "He shouldn't have been charged with either one of these cases." His full statement to Complex adds that Kodak has "amazing events and announcements coming up in the next few months," with shows and charity events being planned for November and December.

## Why it matters Cohen has said for years that Kodak is a target for charge-first, dismiss-later policing in South Florida, and this week is his best exhibit yet. It also lands in the same seven days as Durk walking on every count and Boosie telling rappers to shut up on podcasts. Two different lessons. Durk's case was built on lyrics and interviews. Kodak's two were built on nothing at all, and both fell before a jury ever sat.

Unresolved: Kodak's demand list for signing with Young Thug is still a headline, and he's said nothing about new music timing. Clean docket, though. That part is done.
