Four Bones On One Stage In Ohio.

After a week of Instagram videos between Layzie and Krayzie over who got left off the Wu-Tang farewell tour, Layzie walked out at Blossom Music Center on September 9 and ran the set with his brothers. The tour wraps October 4.

The Wu-Tang farewell run has been the best-attended nostalgia tour in rap for a year, and for most of it Bone Thugs-N-Harmony has been opening as a trio. That changed Wednesday night, September 9, at Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, forty minutes from the Cleveland blocks that made them. Layzie Bone walked out with Krayzie, Wish and Flesh-N-Bone and the four of them ran thirteen songs, "1st of Tha Month," "Notorious Thugs," "Tha Crossroads," in front of a home crowd, per Complex (@complex), which is trending the story tonight. A week ago the same four men were arguing in public about whether Layzie had even been invited.

## The week of videos This started on September 6, when Layzie posted a video explaining why he wasn't on the tour. His version: his bag was packed, he'd spent his own money on merch and CDs to sell from the road, and he got told he was going, then not going, then going, then not, until a text the day before a show settled it. "I was totally left in the dark," he said, adding that he'd assumed everything was fine after the group's Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony and then heard nothing. TheGrio picked it up on the 8th.

Krayzie answered the same day and the answer was harder than the question. The group hadn't left him out in the cold, he said; they'd told him the terms, his money was still waiting for him, and there was an offer on the table to get paid in full if he went to rehab first. Layzie turned it down. "You need to just bring your ass on tour, because it's not that serious." Krayzie didn't say what Layzie was dealing with, and he left the door open. The Blossom show is what walking through it looked like.

## Why this one matters Bone Thugs are the group whose internal beefs have historically played out in the least-dignified venues, so a public falling-out getting resolved in nine days, on a stage, in Ohio, is a better ending than the catalog usually gets. It also matters for the tour itself. "Wu-Tang Forever: The Final Chamber" is being sold as the last time, and the last stretch of it (Cincinnati on the 5th, Cleveland on the 9th, Phoenix's Talking Stick Resort Amphitheatre closing it October 4) is the part that becomes the memory. Three Bones on a farewell tour is a footnote. Four Bones is a reunion.

There's an ownership story under it too, and Krayzie said the quiet part: the money was there, the condition was rehab. That's a group handling a member's health as a business term, out loud, on Instagram. Uncomfortable, but it's the honest version of what every legacy act deals with on the road and almost never says.

## What's next Bizzy Bone, the fifth member, is still doing his own thing and spent this week responding to fan groups hoping he goes broke, so the full-five reunion remains a fantasy. The four-piece has roughly three weeks of dates left. If the Ohio show was the truce, Phoenix on October 4 is where you find out if it held.
