Jordan Brand showed this shoe in a glass case at Fashion Week. Now the retailer photos are out, and the details are better than the case let on.

## What surfaced this week Sneaker News updated its page Sept. 8 with in-hand shots from @floresfittedz_footwear_htxf, and House of Heat followed Sept. 10 with retailer product photos from size? and JD Sports. Style HQ7978-001, Black/Multi-Color, $220 adult, full family sizing, Oct. 17. SNKRS shows it as Coming Soon.

## The details Black nubuck upper, orange shark-tooth midsole, an embroidered 23 on the ankle. The Nike Air heel comes in a dual-color finish, and the drop shadows under the 23, the tongue Jumpman and the heel Nike Air are green glow-in-the-dark. The outsole is the icy light-blue glow that made the Bel-Air and Oreo 5s so photogenic under a blacklight. Roman-numeral Air Jordan branding sits on the inner tongue. It is, in other words, a Halloween shoe that doesn't need a pumpkin on it to say Halloween.

## Where it sits in the holiday slate This is the 5 from the holiday preview Jordan Brand staged at NYFW, and it drops the same weekend Halloween-themed Jordans usually do, right before the Fireside 12 on Oct. 24. Between this, the AJ1 Low Halloween and the Forest Green 14 on the 31st, October is going to be a dark month for anybody with a budget.
