Randy Moss gets a Nine, and it lands the weekend of the Super Bowl.
The Air Jordan 9 "Super Freak" (style code JK1415-100) is reported for Feb. 13, 2027 at $215, per Complex on Oct. 14 and Sneaker Files on Oct. 15. The date traces to @zSneakerheadz, and Sole Retriever first reported it in August. Jordan Brand hasn't confirmed anything, so treat the date as reported, not official.
## The shoe The colors are Minnesota Vikings: white leather uppers, a black nubuck mudguard, and a purple outsole running up onto a white midsole, per Sneaker Files. The tongue says "Twenty3" in place of the usual branding. Sole Retriever's earlier look described gold "Super Freak" embroidery and purple patent overlays, and notes the final design and materials could still change. Between the August version and the October look, the details have moved, so don't lock in your expectations on any single image.
## Why Moss, why the Nine Moss was Jordan Brand's first NFL endorser, wore Jordan cleats in the league, and got his own Jumpman Super Freak signature shoe in 2000, per Sole Retriever. A Nine in his colors puts that history on a retro silhouette, in the same Super Bowl weekend slot as the reported AJ3 "Flip".
For the culture, this is a rare football-first Jordan story, and Moss is one of the few non-basketball names the brand ever built a lane for. The question is the release: Super Bowl weekend is crowded, and a $215 Nine with a player's name on it won't sit.
## What to watch Jordan Brand's own announcement and an official SNKRS date. Until then, February 13 is the working date, nothing firmer.
