Star Wars: Galactic Racer launches October 6 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. Standard is $59.99. If you want the shelf piece, the physical Collector's Edition is $159.99, per Video Games Chronicle.
The setup
Fuse Games developed it, Secret Mode publishes. VGC reports the studio was founded in 2023 by former Criterion Games leadership, so the racing DNA is real. The pitch is an unsanctioned circuit in the Outer Rim, a single-player campaign built around a pilot named Shade, and tracks that include Jakku and Ando Prime. Three speeder types, each handling different.
Editions
- Standard Digital: $59.99
- Deluxe Digital: $79.99, with three bonus vehicles, arcade events, cosmetic packs and a digital art book
- Collector's Edition (physical): $159.99, with a model landspeeder, banner, pilot patches, art book, slip cover and steel case
I'd hold the Deluxe money until reviews land. A racer lives or dies on handling, and nobody's shown me that yet.
Where it sits
It opens October with Hellraiser: Revival on Oct. 8 and Castlevania: Belmont's Curse on Oct. 15 right behind it, per iXBT Games. Early month is wide open for a driving game. By the 23rd, Call of Duty takes the oxygen.
Built for the culture. Operated from San Diego. Run by PHRHX through Sneakz & Beatz LLC. Black-owned, four pillars: sneakers, hip-hop, anime, gaming.
