Jacquees Is Sitting in Broward County. No Bond. Three Charges.

The R&B singer was arrested Sunday night in Hollywood, Florida, on DUI, battery on a law enforcement officer and resisting charges — held for a hearing with no bond set and no official account of what happened.

Jacquees spent Sunday night in the Broward County Main Jail, and as of Monday morning he was still there — no bond set, three charges on the sheet, and no public account yet of what actually happened.

The story broke through NBC 6 South Florida (@nbc6), which pulled the jail records, and was quickly confirmed by CBS News Miami and Complex.

## What the records say The 32-year-old singer, legal name Rodriquez Jacquees Broadnax, was arrested Sunday, September 27, in Hollywood, Florida. Booking records list three counts: driving under the influence, battery on a law enforcement officer, firefighter or EMT, and resisting or obstructing an officer without violence. Complex reports all three carry a $0 bond amount with an "HG" designation — hold for hearing — meaning he sits until a judge rules. HotNewHipHop reported a bond hearing was expected Monday.

## What we don't know yet Everything that matters. Police haven't released an account of the stop, what led to the DUI allegation, or what the alleged contact with an officer was. His legal team hadn't commented as of Monday morning. Unverified: any version of events circulating on social media right now — until an arrest report or a statement drops, treat it as noise.

## Not the first time This is a pattern, not a one-off. Two arrests in 2018 — a Miami Beach traffic stop and an Atlanta stop where police clocked him at 116 mph. Then June 2023 in Gwinnett County, Georgia: simple battery and obstruction after a woman accused him of choking her and biting her hand, per Complex; he was released on a $3,700 bond.

## The backdrop The arrest lands in the middle of a very public co-parenting war with Deiondra Sanders, Coach Prime's daughter, over their son Snow — screenshots, Instagram posts, the whole thing playing out in public this month. It also comes a few weeks after Jacquees said he turned down a slot on the Usher and Chris Brown R&B Tour because he "ain't singing background." And just last week his name was on the Jermaine Dupri "Pick It Up" copyright suit.

## Why it matters Jacquees has spent years calling himself the King of R&B and asking to be treated like a headliner. Headliners get booked on reliability as much as range. A self-proclaimed king who keeps landing in booking photos instead of on bills is handing promoters the reason to keep him in the background he says he won't sing in. The music has always been there. The question the industry asks now is whether he'll be.
