Ex-Donda Academy Guard Puts $23 Million on Ye Suit

Benjamin Provo, the security guard who says he was fired in 2024 for refusing to shave his dreadlocks, has told the court his discrimination case is worth roughly $23 million in damages. Ye denies it. A jury hears it in October. Jakarta is 33 days out.

The standing Ye slot this week isn't a show or a song. It's a courtroom number, and it's a big one.

## The filing Benjamin Provo worked security for Donda Academy and other Yeezy operations. He sued in 2024, claiming he was ordered to shave his head, refused because he wears dreadlocks for religious reasons, and was fired. New documents obtained by TMZ on September 15 put a figure on what he'd ask a jury for: roughly $23 million (HNHH).

## What he alleges Beyond the hair, Provo says Ye yelled at Black employees while treating white staff differently, that books by Black authors including Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. were removed from the school, and that the workplace was racially hostile. Ye has denied firing him over his hair and denies wrongdoing across the board. His lawyers have also argued Provo technically worked for a third-party staffing company, not for Ye directly, which they say changes the claims.

## The deposition everyone's quoting Former chief of staff Milo Yiannopoulos testified that someone with "really thin skin about racially charged remarks" wouldn't have been suited to the company, and that Yeezy staff in 2023 and 2024 had to accept Ye's provocative way of discussing religion. That's the defense's own witness describing the room.

## The fight over the jury Ye has asked the court to keep his past social media posts praising Hitler and Nazism out of the trial, arguing they're unrelated to whether Provo faced discrimination at work. Provo wants them in as evidence of the environment. The judge decides what the jury hears. The trial is currently scheduled for October.

## The rest of the map The tour hasn't stopped. Jakarta's Gelora Bung Karno is October 24, 33 days from tonight. Houston's Reliant Stadium on Halloween, then Arlington November 7 and Phoenix November 21. The two Soldier Field nights grossed $29.8 million by Pollstar's count.
