Edgerunners 2's First Clip Is All Weak Kingsley

Netflix dropped the first look sneak peek from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 on September 22. It centers on Weak Kingsley, the washed-up legend with no chrome, and it's 27 days from release.

We've had trailers, a cast list, an opening song. On September 22 Netflix posted the first real scene from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2, and the tagline was "Never a quiet moment for edgerunners like Weak."

## Who Weak is Weak Kingsley is a former edgerunner, a burned-out legend living without chrome in a city that stopped caring who he used to be. That's a strange lead for a show about cyberware, and that's the point. Kentaro Tone voices him in Japanese; Clancy Brown takes him in the English dub. (ComicBook, GamesRadar)

## The rest of the crew Momoka Terasawa plays Roman Carax, Akari Kito plays Talia Yang and Koki Uchiyama plays D. In English it's Valeria Rodriguez, Kimoy Lee and Nazeeh Tarsha. It's a new crew, not David's. Season one ended the way it ended, and nobody from that story is coming back.

## Who's making it Kai Ikarashi, who directed the standout episode 6 of the first season, directs. Studio Trigger animates with CD Projekt Red. Masahiko Otsuka and Bartosz Sztybor return as showrunners and writers. Rico Nasty performs the theme, "You Can't Run From Me." It's ten episodes, and the premiere screened at Anime Expo in July to strong reactions.

## The count October 20, Netflix, worldwide. That's 27 days from Wednesday. If the first season taught this audience anything, it's to not get attached to anybody. Starting on a man who's already lost everything is a good way to tell you the stakes early.
