Cardi B is starting her third album without the management firm that got her through the second one.
## What happened TMZ (@TMZ) reported Friday, Sept. 25, that Cardi and Full Stop Management, the firm run by Jeffrey Azoff, have parted ways. No dispute has been reported. Both sides decided to move on. HotNewHipHop confirmed the details: Cardi signed with Full Stop in November 2022, and Shawn "Tubby" Holiday was the executive most involved in running her career there.
## What those four years covered Full Stop took over after Invasion of Privacy and stayed through the long wait for Am I the Drama?, which finally arrived in 2025 and debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. That's the record the whole run will be judged on: a sophomore album that took seven years and still opened at the top.
## Timing The split lands right as the next album starts. Earlier this month on The Breakfast Club, Cardi said work on album three had begun and she'd lock in after her birthday. Complex reported she already has two songs she likes and is targeting 2027. We had that update when she said it.
## Why it matters Full Stop's roster leans pop and rock: Harry Styles, John Mayer. Cardi was one of the few rap stars in that building, and that kind of arrangement cuts both ways. A pop-scale firm brings stadium-level budgets and brand deals. It doesn't always have people who understand the rap side of the business: street singles, features, DJ relationships. Whoever she picks next will say a lot about the album. If she goes to a rap-first team, she's going back to the culture. If she goes to another big pop firm, she's going after the pop charts. Either way, Cardi gets to choose this time, and she's choosing before the album is finished.
