Nard Asked Thug to Let It Go. Thug Said He Never Held It.

Rich Homie Nard publicly asked Young Thug to forgive Rich Homie Quan. Thug answered in the comments: Quan is his brother forever, he never spoke on him, and players make mistakes too.

Two years after Rich Homie Quan died, the Rich Gang split is still open. This weekend Rich Homie Nard asked Young Thug, in public, to let it go. Thug answered in the comments.

## What Nard posted On Instagram, Nard tagged Thug and asked him to forgive Quan. His argument: Quan is gone, the two of them were kids when the fallout happened, and Thug has forgiven other people for worse. Quan loved him, Nard wrote, and "Nobody's perfect."

It was a direct ask from inside Quan's circle, and it went up where everyone could see it.

## What Thug said back Thug replied under the post, and No Jumper (@nojumper) caught the comment before it got buried. HotNewHipHop wrote it up Sept. 27.

He opened with "My brada forever." He said he never said anything about Quan, not even when Quan publicly called him gay. He said his sons called and asked him about it. He said he would have died for Quan and that Quan knew it. He closed on the same line Nard used: players make mistakes too.

## Why it still hits Thug and Quan were one of the best duos of the 2010s. Rich Gang: Tha Tour Pt. 1 in 2014 is still the high-water mark for that era of Atlanta: "Lifestyle," "Givenchy," and a tape full of two guys finishing each other's melodies. By 2015 they had split. The reasons were competing solo priorities and rumors of tension, and neither one ever fully explained it on the record.

Quan died in September 2024 at 34, and the split never got fixed. Since then it has come back up again and again. In May, Thug and Quan's camp went at it after he said he "never switched" on Quan, and Quan's family pushed back on his version.

This round went differently. Nard came to Thug asking for peace, and Thug didn't argue about who did what. He talked about how he felt about Quan and left it there.

## The take Nobody's getting the reunion. What fans got this weekend is the closest thing left: someone from Quan's side asking for peace, and Thug saying he never stopped caring about Quan. It's also a softer Thug than the one who spent two years in the YSL case. He's been mentoring Atlanta teens and launching Primal. It's still a sad story. At least this time neither side made it worse.
