Castlevania: Belmont's Curse hits PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on October 15, and the price is the story. Per RPG Site, the base game is $29.99. Konami is not asking you to bet sixty dollars on a 2D Castlevania. It's asking for thirty.
What you're paying for
Two ways in. The standard game at $29.99, or the Midnight Edition at $39.99, which adds a Digital Sound & Art Gallery, three bonus costumes and one relic. Pre-orders get an Alucard-style costume. Nintendo Switch is listed for later in 2026, no date attached.
The cast tells you the angle
RPG Site's rundown names Rose Belmont and Trevor Belmont alongside Count Dracula and Joan of Arc. That's the franchise pulling from the whole family tree instead of one era. The reporting I found doesn't lay out the story beat by beat, so I'm not going to pretend to know how those pieces fit. Wait for hands-on.
Why Oct. 15 matters
October is crowded. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 lands Oct. 23 and Phantom Blade Zero lands Oct. 29, per iXBT Games' PlayStation roundup. A thirty-dollar side-scroller with a vampire-hunting bloodline is the easy pick for a Thursday night. Cheaper than a pair of socks at the mall, and you get a whole castle.
