When Kid Rock posted a tracklist Thursday with Eminem on a song called "7 Sins," the first reaction from Em's base was that it had to be fake. It isn't.
## The confirmation Complex confirmed through a representative from Eminem's camp that "7 Sins" is an official track on Kid Rock's 13th album, the Christian rock record he's calling Halfway 2 Jesus. Complex also obtained a piece of the album's foreword. Kid Rock: "I'm proud of the guests who joined me, especially my old friend Eminem. His verse speaks to something we've talked about and that really needs to be heard: we differ politically and on other things, but we've stayed friends through it all." He adds that they "hope that sets an example for people who've lost friends or stopped talking to family because they think differently."
## Why people doubted it Eminem spent the back half of the last decade on the other side of the aisle from Kid Rock, including the 2017 BET cypher ultimatum to his own fans, per HotNewHipHop, and a 2024 appearance at a Kamala Harris rally in Detroit. So when the Shadyverse fan page shared the tracklist, the replies were "No f*ing way," "FAKE," and a theory that Kid Rock had dug up an old verse, per Complex's first report. Other fans pointed at the obvious: both from Detroit, and they've done this before. "Fuck Off" was on Kid Rock's Devil Without a Cause in 1998, and Rock cameoed in the "Berzerk" video in 2013.
## The date dispute HotNewHipHop lists the album for Oct. 17. Complex says no release date has been announced. Treat the 17th as unconfirmed until Kid Rock's camp says it. The lead single, "James 1:17 (Jesus Is King)," has a video out as of Thursday night. The album also lists Rascal Flatts' Gary LeVox and Jimmie Allen among the 17 tracks.

## Meanwhile, at Comic Con Separate Eminem news, same day. Complex Style reports a NERDS Clothing capsule sold only at the brand's booth, No. 3253, during New York Comic Con, Oct. 8 to 11: a skate deck, a long-sleeve tee, a lightweight bomber, hand-embellished arcade pieces by NYC artist Danny Cortes, and an original game called Marshall's Massacre, developed by Fan Arcade and already live. NERDS has done Astro Boy, Street Fighter and Sonic before. Eminem joins that list.
## The read Nobody has heard the verse. A feature credit tells you who's in the room, not what was said in it. The argument that matters starts when the song does. Until then, the only confirmed fact is the one Complex nailed down: Em chose to be on it.
