Offset has a date. His next album, GMFU, is set for Oct. 23, 17 days from now, and he said it himself.
## What he posted Per HotNewHipHop on Oct. 4, Offset put the date in an Instagram caption on a Paris Fashion Week recap: album drop, Oct. 23. A follow-up Story explained the title, which is an abbreviation we're not spelling out here. HNHH also says he told Paper Magazine in a video that he's back to the music and ready to show what he's been working on.
## What's missing There's no tracklist, no feature list, no cover and no label announcement in the reporting we read. This is the artist's own post, not a formal rollout. Treat the date as his word until a pre-save or a cover shows up.
## How it got here HNHH says Offset dropped the single "Something I Need" earlier this year. We covered the hotline he opened ahead of it. Then came Quavo's QRÖMELIFE on Oct. 2, which includes "Away," the first Quavo and Offset collaboration in five years. HNHH writes that the album didn't get a glowing reception, but that the moment mattered for the two of them.
## The Migos part HNHH reports a Migos reunion is in the works to honor Takeoff, with new music and a tour. Quavo said on Oct. 1 that three Migos-related projects arrive in 2027, per HNHH. A strong Oct. 23 helps that story. A weak one makes it harder to sell.
## The read Quavo went first. Offset's turn is 17 days out. Solo records are the proof of life before any group record, and everyone will be listening for quality, not nostalgia.
