A big single-player action RPG with a firm date, a price and a studio saying the game is done. That's the whole pitch for Phantom Blade Zero, and it lands in under a month.
## What's confirmed Phantom Blade Zero launches Oct. 29, 2026 on PlayStation 5 and PC. Wikipedia and RPGamer both list Oct. 29, and RPGamer has PC on Steam and the Epic Games Store. Push Square had pre-orders live on the PlayStation Store at $59.99, with a $69.99 Digital Deluxe that adds early outfit and accessory bonuses, a digital artbook and the soundtrack. One outlet, Bleeding Cool, lists Oct. 28. That's almost certainly a time-zone difference, so go with the 29th and check your store page.
## The delay, and the finish line The game was first dated for Sept. 9. In June, per RPG Site, S-Game pushed it to Oct. 29 for more polish. Gamereactor reported on Aug. 10 that development is complete and the game is ready for its late-October launch. A finished build with weeks to spare is what you want to hear after a delay.
## What the 11-minute look showed Per RPGamer and Bleeding Cool, the extended video mixed story scenes and gameplay: you play Soul, an assassin on a 66-day clock after being framed for his master's murder, working through a world they call "kungfupunk." Bleeding Cool lists more than 30 weapons and 20-plus "Phantom Edges" for combat. Donnie Yen is credited as creative consultant and did motion capture for the character Mó Yuan. Sony also scheduled a State of Play for Aug. 17 with almost 20 minutes of gameplay.
## What's still open No review scores exist yet, so nobody outside S-Game knows how the combat holds over 30 hours. Performance on base PS5 versus PC hasn't been publicly benchmarked. And Push Square describes the console version as PlayStation-exclusive while PC is confirmed elsewhere, so don't assume an Xbox version.
## The cultural read A Beijing studio is getting the treatment the genre usually saves for western AAA: a State of Play slot, a delay to polish, a deluxe edition. Single-player RPG fans have spent the year being told nobody makes these anymore. This one is 25 days out, and it's finished.
