Metro Boomin is a playable character in OnlyHands, the hip-hop fighting game Republic Records is building with Nothing Projects Interactive. HotNewHipHop reported it Oct. 2, and the game's early-access page lists a world premiere on Oct. 8 at New York Comic Con with Metro attached.

## What's confirmed OnlyHands is billed as a 1v1 fighting game where real artists are the characters. HotNewHipHop says the roster already includes Kodak Black, Denzel Curry, NLE Choppa, Boosie Badazz and Tay-K, with more than 20 fighters promised and some players getting early access ahead of the wider rollout. Sauce Walka was an early promoter. The comparison everyone reaches for is Def Jam Vendetta and Fight for NY, and the roster is built to invite it.
## Where it came from Republic announced the project in a partnership with Nothing Projects Interactive at the end of last year. Complex's launch coverage described it as a PC and mobile game at that point, so treat platforms as unconfirmed until the Oct. 8 premiere says otherwise. Sauce Walka told Complex the community has wanted a game like this since Def Jam.
## Why Metro matters here A producer on a fighter roster is the interesting part. Metro isn't known for rapping, so his inclusion says the game's pitch is the whole culture, not just MCs. We've already written about how Metro and the 808 Mafia turned FL Studio into the South's studio. Same name, a very different kind of footprint.
## What to watch Whether the premiere shows real combat or just a trailer. A roster of Republic artists is a licensing story as much as a game story, and a fighter only works if the moves feel like the person. NYCC on Oct. 8 is where that gets answered.
