Sunday night in Atlanta, Quavo threw a surprise, first-come-first-served listening session for QRÖMELIFE. Halfway through, Offset walked in and stood next to him while "Away," their song together, played through the speakers. Per Complex (@Complex) and iHeartRadio (@iHeartRadio), it's their first new song together in five years. Clips from the room have been all over social media since.
## What happened - When: Sunday, Sept. 27, at Quavo's QRÖMELIFE listening session, days after he posted the 14-song tracklist. - The song: "Away" featuring Offset, track 4 on the album. - The moment: Offset showed up mid-session and stood beside Quavo while the record played. Nothing was staged: two Migos, one room, their song on. - The drop: QRÖMELIFE is out Friday, Oct. 2, executive produced by Pharrell, with T.I., Future, Tyler, The Creator, A$AP Rocky, Lil Baby, Yung Miami and Justin Timberlake also on it.

## Why this one hits different The tracklist already told us Offset was on "Away." Seeing them side by side is the real news. The last Migos album was Culture III in 2021. Then came the split, Takeoff's death in November 2022, and years of the two remaining members moving mostly separately. A feature credit can be handled through managers. Standing next to each other at a listening party can't.
It also follows Offset's own run. His Need.FM hotline rollout earlier this month had Migos fans reading into every move.
## The Migos album talk Quavo keeps saying the group isn't finished. Complex quotes him from an Atlanta radio interview (V-103) earlier this month: "We coming back… We're going to do it one more time." He added that they plan to tour and "do it right." iHeart reports that on The Baller Alert Show, Quavo confirmed a final Migos album is in the works and said fans can expect music from it by the group's anniversary in January.
What's NOT confirmed: there's no title, no release date and no tour dates. It also hasn't been said whether the album would include posthumous Takeoff vocals. Complex flags that as unclear. Until something official lands, treat it as intent, not a rollout.
## The take Quavo spent four years carrying grief in public, and QRÖMELIFE is him saying that out loud, with Pharrell steering. Putting Offset on the album was a statement. Bringing him into the room was a bigger one. If "Away" sounds like 2017 on Friday, the January Migos talk stops being a tease and becomes the story of the winter. Five years is long enough. Let's see if the chemistry is still there.
