The premiere date was the first half. The answer to "where do I watch it" came Thursday.
## The U.S. plan Netflix posted it Oct. 1: "DRAGON BALL SUPER: BEERUS. Coming to Netflix in the US on October 17." Per What's on Netflix, episodes arrive weekly, six days after each Fuji TV broadcast, the same lag Netflix used for Dragon Ball Daima and the weekly One Piece rollout. Japan premieres Oct. 11. ComicBook notes no other U.S. platform has been confirmed, so for now Netflix is it.
## Outside the U.S. Crunchyroll confirmed an Oct. 11 subtitled simulcast for Europe, the U.K. and Ireland, the Middle East and Africa, per Get Your Comic On. If you're in the U.S., that's the one-week head start your group chat overseas will have on you.
## What it is Toei's "enhanced" rebuild of the first arcs of Dragon Ball Super: Battle of Gods, Resurrection 'F' and Universe 6, with new cuts, re-rendered footage, new dubbing and score, directed by Tadayoshi Yamamuro, with Norihito Sumitomo on music. New opening "ONOGAMI" by MEGATERA ZERO, ending "Kan Peki No Peki" by VK Blanka. The 2015 original's early episodes were the ones everybody dragged for the animation; this is Toei doing them over with the budget.

## NYCC first Before any of it streams, the Oct. 8 New York Comic Con panel at noon is hosted by Monica Rial (Bulma) with Jason Douglas (Beerus) and Ian Sinclair (Whis), per ComicBook. It's part of Crunchyroll's NYCC slate even though the U.S. stream is Netflix's, which tells you how the distribution map is drawn now.

## The read Dragon Ball is Black America's anime, and Netflix is where that audience already is. A weekly Friday-night Goku on the biggest streamer in the country, with a one-week delay that keeps the spoilers coming from Europe, is the most mainstream a Dragon Ball series has been since Toonami. Set the reminder for the 17th.
