RiverFlux Audio released Relic on Oct. 2, per Bedroom Producers Blog. It's 12 analog-style plugins, and it's free. It's name-your-price on Gumroad, so you can pay nothing.
## What's in the box Five compressors: an FET model (RF-76), a stereo compressor (RF-67), an optical, a tube optical and a stereo vari-mu. Five EQs: preamp-style, three-band proportional-Q, ten-band graphic, passive program, and a midrange processor. Two tape machines: a multitrack deck (RF-A80) and a mastering recorder (RF-AT12).
## The details Each plugin ships with 33 factory presets, A/B comparison, latency-aligned bypass and 2x to 8x oversampling. Formats are VST3 and CLAP on Windows and Linux, and VST3, CLAP and Audio Unit on Mac. You need Windows 10 or newer, macOS 10.15 on Intel or 11 on Apple Silicon, or a modern 64-bit Linux. Downloads are 128.7 MB on Windows, 228.4 MB on Linux and 616.9 MB on Mac.
## Why a beatmaker cares Most of what makes a drum bus hit is a compressor, an EQ and some tape. This covers all three in one install. We haven't tested it, so don't take our word on the sound. Load it on a loop you know and A/B it against what you already use.
