Ember Lab says Kena: Scars of Kosmora is a 2027 game. The studio shared the news and a story overview on PlayStation Blog on Oct. 1, written by game writer Thomas Varga and COO Josh Grier. It's coming to PS5, physical and digital, and PC, digital.
## The delay, in the studio's words Ember Lab wrote that it needs a bit more time, and that pushing into 2027 lets it polish the expanded game it wants to deliver. That's the whole explanation, and there's no specific date yet.
## What the post shows Scars of Kosmora follows Kena, a Spirit Guide, to the island of Kosmora, where she's trying to reconnect with her childhood friend Orfio. The island carries the ruins of four interconnected cultures wiped out by an ancient cataclysm, and Kena is dealing with the spiritual corruption left behind. Ember Lab describes a character-driven, linear adventure built on its 2021 debut, Kena: Bridge of Spirits, with more scope and scale.

The new pieces are a crystalline canine companion that works as both mount and combat ally, Alchemystic Temples tied to four elemental themes, and exploration off the main path with environmental rewards.
## The read A 2027 window for a game this size says the team is protecting the first game's reputation instead of chasing a holiday slot. No price and no firm date, so nothing to pre-order yet. Sony's blog ran this the same day it announced AI upscaling for the base PS5.
