Thursday is Kingdom Hearts day. Square Enix is putting the main run on current platforms, natively, in one release.
## What's in it Per RPG Site, Square Enix announced Kingdom Hearts Collection [I~III] on June 9. It includes Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX, Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue, and Kingdom Hearts III with the Re Mind DLC. Square Enix says all three run natively, not through the cloud, on current-generation consoles.
## Where and how The Collection launches Oct. 8 on Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through the Microsoft Store. Each game can be bought on its own, or together in the Kingdom Hearts Integrum Masterpiece bundle. Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX also launches on the original Switch that day. We didn't find a price in what we read, so check the store page.
## The free demo A free Kingdom Hearts III + Re Mind demo has been on Switch 2 since the announcement. It covers the opening through the early stretch of Olympus, and the Toy Box world through its midpoint. Olympus save data carries over to the full game. Toy Box progress doesn't.
## Why it matters This is a long single-player saga that's been spread across generations. Having I through III together on current hardware means anyone who's been waiting to start has no excuse. It's one story, a lot of Disney and Pixar worlds, and combat built around a Keyblade. No review scores exist yet. The date was set in June and we found no change, but confirm it on your store page.
## The read Thursday, you can start from the beginning on whatever you own. If you've been meaning to, that's the day.
