URL billed it as the most anticipated rematch in battle rap history. The crowd that watched the tape has an early answer, and it isn't one-sided.
## The card Summer Madness XVI ran Sept. 27 at Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, with Tay Roc vs. Rum Nitty as the headliner, per our event preview. The full card streams on the URLtv app, and URL's posts list membership at $8.99.
## What the vote shows RapVerdict, a fan-vote site for battle rap, lists 877 app votes on the battle. Tay Roc finishes with a 71 percent consensus and a 2-1 round score. Rum Nitty took Round 1 with 72 percent. Tay Roc took Round 2 at 58 percent and Round 3 at 83 percent. Members who voted before the battle leaned Rum Nitty, 2-1, at 55 percent.
## What it doesn't show This isn't a judged result. It's one fan site, a few hundred votes, and people who paid to watch. We haven't watched the full battle, so we're not calling it ourselves. URL calls the matchup a rematch. RapVerdict's page lists no earlier meeting between the two, so check before you repeat that.
## The clip game On Oct. 3, @urltv posted two clips from the card. One highlights Tay Roc's name flips on Rum. The other calls Rum Nitty's antonym and synonym scheme ridiculous. The league is feeding both sides of the same battle to the timeline, and the full rounds stay behind the app.
## Why it matters Round-by-round numbers are how battle rap argues in public. A vote that swings from 72 percent for one rapper to 83 percent for the other tells you the battle moved. URL is a Black-owned league running its own distribution, and the footage is the product. Watch the full rounds, then cast your own vote.
