Atlus gave Persona 4 Revival a new trailer on Oct. 3, and it's the darkest look yet at the remake of one of the best single-player RPGs ever made.
## What dropped RPG Site reports the Shadow trailer carries new music and gameplay, with English and Japanese versions released together. Per Play3, the footage leans into the murder mystery: victims found at TV antennas on rainy, foggy nights in Inaba, the Midnight Channel rumor, and the party stepping through TV screens to fight Shadows, the repressed selves of the cast.
## What's confirmed about the game Persona 4 Revival launches Feb. 18, 2027 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. RPG Site lists the Switch 2 version following on May 20, 2027, and Game Pass availability on day one. Play3 notes remodeled environments for Inaba and the dungeons, a freely rotating 360-degree camera in place of fixed angles, and a new way to spread status effects across enemy waves.
## Why it matters The original Persona 4 is a 2008 game that people still bring up as the reason they love RPGs. A remake with a firm date, a staggered Switch 2 release and a trailer that sells the story instead of a feature list tells you Atlus knows who's watching. If you're a single-player RPG head, this is the one with a calendar date on it.
## What we don't know No review scores exist. The new song wasn't named in what we read, and we haven't verified the full trailer breakdown, so watch it before you describe it.
## The read February is four months out. Persona games have a way of eating a whole winter. Clear your backlog now.
