Ferg posted on Instagram Monday, October 12 that his new album is finished and asked who wants to distribute it. A$AP Rocky commented, "U know where home is," per XXL. Ferg answered, "Appreciate you King."
What happened
The post was a screenshot of his notes app: "I just finished my new album." Rocky's comment came with a "Congratulations" and a heart. XXL reads "home" as an open door to AWGE, Rocky's label, to help get the project out. That's XXL's read. Neither of them said it.
The backstory
Ferg dropped "A$AP" from his name in January 2025. In a September interview Rocky said he was disappointed by it, and Ferg said it reflected personal growth. We covered that exchange here: Ferg responds to A$AP Rocky. This is the next chapter, and it reads softer.
What we don't know
No title. No release date. No label. No deal. A comment under an Instagram post isn't a contract, and nobody has said AWGE is putting it out.
The take
Real talk, the group chat energy here is better than the beef energy. Two guys who came up together, said some things in public, and are now talking in the comments like family. If a reunion project comes out of it, great. If not, the album's done and that's already a win for Ferg.
