A Bureau of Prisons spokesperson told TMZ on Thursday, October 15 that reports of a fight between Diddy and fellow inmate Christopher "Dudus" Coke are false and "did not happen," per XXL. Asked how Diddy hurt his head, the spokesperson said there was no further information.
Two versions
TMZ reported October 14 that the fight went down Friday, October 9. Its story: Coke was angry about the NBC News report on Diddy's prison perks, including a cell phone and massages, which led to staff raids. A phone was confiscated from Coke, TMZ said, and the head injury came out of that dispute. TMZ says its sources stand by the account.
Page Six told a different story on October 13: Diddy hit his head on the bunk above him and is doing much better. XXL reports he was treated at a local hospital on Saturday, October 10.
What's solid and what isn't
Solid: a head injury, a hospital visit, and an official denial of the fight. Not solid: everything TMZ attributes to its sources. No court filing or on-record witness has backed the fight claim. Nobody has publicly confirmed the bunk story either.
The bigger picture
XXL says his release date was pushed back after the perks exposé and is now March 2, 2028. That's the real consequence in this story. Whatever happened to his head, the perks coverage already cost him time.
The take
Look, when two outlets give you two different stories and the institution calls one false, you wait. Rumor travels faster than records. We'll update this if the Bureau of Prisons or his team says more.
