Shangri-La Frontier Season 3 has a date. Per Final Weapon, it premieres Jan. 10, 2027 at 5:00 p.m. JST on MBS, TBS and 26 affiliate channels, and it runs two cours, six months without a break.

## The staff Studio C2C is on it, with chief director Toshiyuki Kubooka. Hiro Ōki directs. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu handles series oversight and scripts, Ayumi Kurashima is character designer and chief animation director, and MONACA does the music. The Season 2 cast returns.

## Where to watch Crunchyroll announced the show among its upcoming titles at AnimagiC 2026, per Comicbook, which lists it for January 2027. Final Weapon notes Crunchyroll streamed Season 2 outside Japan but doesn't confirm a Season 3 partner. Plan on Crunchyroll, and watch for the official simulcast notice.

## Why it hits for gamers The premise is a player who grinds through a terrible game and gets pulled into a bigger one. Anyone who has spent a weekend on a boss they swore was broken knows the feeling. The anime treats gaming like a culture with its own rules and grudges, and that's why it travels. We've written about how Crunchyroll got where it is. A two-cour run is a vote of confidence from the people who fund it.

## The take Six months, no break, same cast. If you're behind, you've got until January. Season 2 first.
