Meek Mill says he could sell out Madison Square Garden or Barclays Center with 45 days of promotion. He said it on X on Oct. 15, and the post was a reply in a running back-and-forth with DJ Akademiks.
HotNewHipHop reported it without quoting the post word for word, so the 45-day figure is as relayed. The setup, per the same report, is that @Akademiks claimed insider knowledge of Meek's performance rate and said festivals won't book him as a headliner because he allegedly asks for $300,000 for dates like Rolling Loud. That is Akademiks' claim. We have not seen it confirmed by any festival, agent or Meek's camp, so read it as a lead, not a fact.

The two arguments are not the same argument
A festival headline slot and an arena night are different businesses. Festivals buy a name for a lineup and price the slot against the bill. An arena is a bet on one artist's ticket demand in one city, and the factors are the ones HNHH lists: tour timing, ticket prices, marketing, new music, guest appearances and local interest. Meek can be right about Philly-to-New York demand and still be priced out of a festival headline, and Akademiks can be right about a fee and wrong about the room.
The pattern
This is the latest round in a fight we have tracked from both sides, including the gun-wall feud and Akademiks' boxing brand risk. The difference now is that Meek moved the argument from opinion to a number anyone can check, and that is the part worth watching.
The cultural close
A rapper naming a deadline and an arena is a promoter's dare. If there is a date announcement, it will answer the question faster than another week of posting. Until then, 45 days is a claim, $300K is a claim, and the only thing confirmed is that both men are arguing about it in public.
