The Ocarina of Time remake is 18 days out, and Nintendo just showed the part everyone remembers being scared of. Per GamingBolt, Nintendo released two new short trailers on October 17, one focused on Link's ocarina melodies and one on combat.
What's in them
GamingBolt says the combat trailer shows Ganondorf playing the organ, a prelude to the final battle, and Dark Link, whom Adult Link meets in the Water Temple, standing on Link's sword. It also shows Morpha, the Water Temple boss, and the Ferry to the Other World. GamingBolt does not say which video is which, so we have embedded both from the links in its post. The remake launches November 5 on Nintendo Switch 2.
Where this fits
Everything about the rebuild, the date, the controls and the Triforce Switch 2 bundle is in our September 15 breakdown of Nintendo's Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct. These trailers are a gameplay-focused follow-up, not a new announcement.
The read
Dark Link in the Water Temple is the fight people remember from the original. Nintendo showing it this early says it knows. The remake's real test is whether the fight feels like the memory, not the original.
