Lil Wayne's "20 Years of Carter Classics" stop in Charleston, West Virginia, did not happen Friday night. Per HotNewHipHop, the October 16 show at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center was postponed hours before it was set to start.
What the venue said
The venue cited "inclement weather and travel delays," according to HotNewHipHop. No new date had been announced at press time, and the venue said previously purchased tickets will be honored for the rescheduled show, with more information to come on its site and by email to ticketholders. HotNewHipHop notes the announcement did not say what the weather conditions were, so the stated reason is the venue's, not something we could independently confirm. 2 Chainz is listed as the special guest on the tour.
What's next on the run
HotNewHipHop lists the next dates as San Antonio on October 17 at the Frost Bank Center, then Kentucky on October 22, Tennessee on October 23 and New Mexico on October 29. XXL's touring list is where our release calendar has the tour finale on October 23, so check your city's listing before you travel; we have not verified whether the postponement shifts any other date.
The read
A postponement three-ish hours out is rough on anybody who drove in, and the refund-or-rehold question is the one fans will care about. The venue says tickets carry over. Wait for the new date before you plan around it.
