Crunchyroll's Anime Expo panel dropped a new Solo Leveling film — the biggest new-gen anime brand heading to the big screen.

When a brand is hot enough, the next step is obvious: put it on the big screen. Solo Leveling just took it.

## The announcement At Crunchyroll's Anime Expo 2026 panel — the same one that dropped new looks at Rising of the Shield Hero Season 5 and a batch of other titles — the headline was a new Solo Leveling film. No release date yet, just the confirmation that a movie is coming.

## Why this is a lock Solo Leveling isn't a gamble. The first two seasons broke through in a way almost nothing this decade has — it turned a webtoon-first, gamer-brained power fantasy into appointment television and pulled in people who don't even watch much anime. Sung Jinwoo going from the weakest hunter to a one-man army is the exact kind of clean, addictive arc that plays in a packed theater.

## The bigger picture A theatrical Solo Leveling follows the playbook the whole medium is running right now — Demon Slayer's Infinity Castle, Chainsaw Man's Reze Arc, Jujutsu Kaisen before them. The movie is where the biggest anime brands go to cash in the hype and reach the widest room. Solo Leveling has earned its ticket.

Details are thin for now. The demand is not. When this thing dates, it's going to move.
