You don’t remake the biggest story in manga unless you’re sure. Wit Studio is sure. ‘THE ONE PIECE’ — a ground-up reanimation of the series from the beginning — is in production, and it’s hanging over the entire summer conversation.

The biggest swing in anime

One Piece is the best-selling manga of all time and one of the longest-running anime ever. Going back to reanimate the early saga from scratch isn’t a cash-in — it’s a statement. The idea is to give the East Blue beginning the modern production it never had, so new fans can start clean instead of climbing past a thousand older episodes.
