The big single-player names are all on the horizon. Moss: The Forgotten Relic is here now — or close enough. Polyarc's adventure drops July 16 on PS5, Xbox, Switch and PC, and the headline for a lot of players is simple: no headset required this time.
The Moss series started in VR, built around Quill, the little mouse hero you guided through a storybook world. Bringing it to a flat screen opens it up to everybody who liked the look but never strapped on goggles. Same story-driven, hand-crafted feel; a lot more people who can actually play it.
Small, but it counts
Let's keep it honest — this isn't a GTA or an Elder Scrolls. It's a tighter, cozier adventure, and that's the point. It's also one of the few brand-new single-player titles actually shipping this week while the giants stay parked on the calendar. For a lane built on solo, story-first games, a real release beats another trailer for something two years out.
Who it's for
If you want something you can start and finish, with a clear story and a world made by hand instead of generated, this is a clean pickup. Play it on the couch, no setup, no motion sickness, just the adventure. Sometimes the palette cleanser between blockbusters is exactly what the lane needs.
