MAPPA is bringing back Dorohedoro for a second season — picking Caiman's weird, violent story back up after years of quiet.

Dorohedoro Season 2 is coming, and MAPPA — the Chainsaw Man studio — has it. The show picks Caiman's story back up: a man with a lizard's head and no memory, tearing through the Hole to hunt the sorcerers who did this to him. Violent, funny, gross, and structurally strange in the best way.

Season 1 built a hard cult following and then the show went quiet for years. Fans have been waiting. A confirmed second season at a top studio is the payoff.

What makes it a cult favorite

Dorohedoro doesn't look or move like anything else. It's set in a grimy dual-world of the Hole and the Sorcerers' realm, it swings between brutal violence and genuine comedy in the same scene, and it's built around a mystery — who was Caiman before the lizard head. That mix is why the people who love it really love it.
